Biography

Denis Jurković

Denis Jurković was born on 12.6.1988. in Osijek, where he finished elementary and high school. In 2010, he enrolled at the Faculty of Philosophy of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek, majoring in philosophy and pedagogy, and in 2015 he graduated with the subject of Marxism and philosophy of art based on the example of Danko Grlić's aesthetics (mentor: associate professor Boško Pešić, Ph.D.), and obtained academic title of Master of Education in Philosophy and Pedagogy. Since 2017, he has been employed at the Department of Teacher Studies in Gospić, University of Zadar, in the position of assistant in the field of pedagogy, and in the same year, he enrolled in the post-graduate doctoral study in pedagogy "Quality in Education" at the University of Zadar. He is the author or co-author of eight original scientific articles, he was an exhibitor at seven scientific or professional conferences, a member of the organizing committee of four scientific or professional conferences, and the editor of one collection of papers from the conference. His area of interests mainly refers to topics of social pedagogy, school pedagogy, pedagogy of children with special needs, intercultural pedagogy and leisure time pedagogy.
