Jasminka Brala-Mudrovčić
Jasminka Brala-Mudrovčić was born on July 10, 1971 in Gospić. She studied at the Faculty of philosophy in Zadar, where she graduated in Croatian language and literature in 1995, while in 1996 she graduated in Organization of cultural activities. In the same year, she enrolled in a postgraduate study program of literature at the Faculty of philosophy in Zagreb, where she received her master’s degree in 2003 followed by her doctoral degree in 2008. She worked as a Croatian language teacher at the Gospić Grammar school with general program. She was the head of the Expert council for Croatian language teachers for secondary schools in the County. She has been promoted to professor mentor, and has participated in numerous projects initiated by the Education and teacher training agency. Today, she works at the Department of Teacher Education Studies in Gospić at the University of Zadar, as an associate professor in the field of humanities - the field of philology. She teaches the following courses: Phonology of the Croatian standard language, Morphology of the Croatian standard language, Syntax of the Croatian standard language, Lexicology of the Croatian standard language, Language communication, Stage culture, Linguistic communication, Croatian language of academic communication, Overview of Croatian literature and Overview of world literature. She participated in the organization of several local and international scientific meetings as well as in the editing of several collections of papers, She is the author of the scientific monographs Putevima hedonizma (Comedy work by Milan Begović) and Život pun života (Monograph of Pero Budak), as well as of a series of chapters in various books, and scientific and professional papers. In 2017, she was awarded a Silver charter by Matrix Croatica for the coauthored book Lika i velebitsko primorje u hrvatskoj književnosti. She researches literary theory of the Croatian literature and language. She is a member of the Department of Chakavian parliament of the Gacka province, Croatian philological society, Matrix Croatica, Croatian Mariology institute, Cultural association of heritage and creation Baštinica, and finally she is a representative of Lika-Senj County in Association of Croatian language teachers.
