Biography

Marina Franić Šimunić was born  in Gospić. She attended Dr. Jure Turić Elementary School in Gospić, and then Gospić High School. After finishing high school, she entered the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb, graduated and became a Master of Education in Croatian Language and Literature and a Master of Librarianship. She worked for several years in the library of the Department of Teacher Studies in Gospić, University of Zadar. From the fall of 2020, she starts working as an assistant at the Department of Teacher Studies in Gospić in the scientific field of humanities, the field of philology (Croatian studies). She focused her scientific interests on the methodology of teaching Croatian language and literature. She participates in the courses Croatian Language Methodology 1, Croatian Language Methodology 2, Croatian Language Methodology 3, Required Reading and Media Culture. She actively participates in presentations at local and international scientific meetings. She is a postgraduate student of Croatian culture at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Zagreb. She is a member of the Croatian Reading Association.
